Michigan employers asked to ‘Take a Stand’

Lansing, MI – The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration is scheduled to host its 10th annual Take a Stand Day on Aug. 13.

More than 125 MIOSHA staff – including compliance officers, consultants and managers – will visit workplaces in high-hazard industries to provide one-on-one consultations, focusing on areas or hazards identified by the employer. Workplaces choosing to participate in the program will not be cited or receive fines, but must agree to correct all serious violations.

The deadline for scheduling a visit is July 23.
