OSHA to host training event in July on federal worker safety

Washington – OSHA is scheduled to conduct a training event July 29-31 for federal agency staff responsible for workplace safety and health issues.

The OSHA Training Institute, in collaboration with OSHA’s Office of Federal Agency Programs, is slated to host half-day seminars in Arlington Heights, IL, on heat stress, fall protection, health hazards and other topics. OSHA said it developed the event to ensure federal workplaces have safety programs and standards consistent with those in the private sector.

Enrollment is open until July 23. Completed enrollment forms must be emailed to OTI Student Services at [email protected].

The training is free for government agency personnel; however, Department of Labor regulations require OSHA to charge tuition to private-sector attendees and federal government contractors.
