Eastern Division H&S Lead

“Matt is brilliant at creating ‘out of the box’ means to engage staff in H&S culture. ‘Typical’ training just doesn’t reach workers. Examples of Matt’s efforts to transform our culture include ‘micro’ training videos (ticks, hand-injury prevention) aimed at a brief but focused look at a unique hazard. Employees raved about these videos! Matt also championed an initiative to help office staff learn how to change a tire safely by hosting live demonstrations of tire changes and developing a tire-change safety card, which was given to every employee in the Business Unit. Most notably, Matt took on a sensitive topic, presenting awareness and preparedness concepts for Active Shooter scenarios.”
