Ryan Kelly
Age 39
Risk Manager
Ford Motor Co., Michigan Assembly Plant
Wayne, MI

“Mr. Kelly developed SMART objectives as a result of the NSC Safety Culture Surveys in 2013 and 2015. Many of
the concerns expressed indicated a lack of knowledge and communication regarding safety-related activities. Action plans formulated included education and participation by the employees in a variety of safety-related meetings and communications. The daily safety start-up meeting requires each area to bring a guest so they can understand the activity and ongoing efforts to insure each employee remains safe in the facility. Increased employee participation in safety process confirmation activities helps educate employees regarding standards and reason for compliance requirements.”
