Jacob Weiss
Age 38
Health and Safety Manager
Central Wholesalers Inc.
Laurel, MD

“Jacob has led a ‘safety-first’ corporate-wide culture shift. He has improved the way we do our safety audits. He includes many different employees from various departments throughout our company and continues to lead by example. This simple practice has encouraged our other employees to notice other possible hazards and educate their coworkers about the possible hazards and how to take the proper precautions to eliminate the dangers. Jacob also took it upon himself to look at, review, and analyze our automobile accidents. He compares the employees who are involved to their respective driving history and determines what action(s) need to be taken. He finds it beneficial to celebrate and promote accomplishments and he will discipline for poor decisions and behaviors.”
