Miranda Conrad
31
Safety & Administrative Technician
Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government
Thibodaux, LA

“In 2016, Miranda recognized an unfortunate trend of fellow employees engaged in slips, trips and falls. Statistics showed that 51 percent of accidents at her workplace were a result of a slip, trip or fall. Creating a pledge presentation, Miranda conveyed her findings to top management and lead personnel. Without much convincing, the audience signed Miranda’s pledge board that she created on her day off, and pledged not only to travel safely, but to carry the message to all of the employees in their departments. As a result, slips, trips and falls have decreased 30 percent.”
