Deadline extended: 2018 Green Cross for Safety awards

The National Safety Council will continue to accept nominations for the 2018 NSC Green Cross for Safety awards until Dec. 8.

The awards are given annually to recognize people and organizations for their contributions to the advancement of safety in the workplace, on the road, and in homes and communities.

Nominations will be accepted in three categories:
Excellence in Safety – Recognition for the unrelenting pursuit of exceptional, transferrable safety practices
Safety Innovation – Recognition for a transformative approach to a long-held challenge in safety
Safety Advocate – Recognition for the advancement of evidence-based best practices to raise awareness or change policy to prevent further injuries and deaths

The 2018 awards are scheduled to be presented May 23 in Chicago.
