OSHA schedules public meetings on GHS rule

OSHA announced on Dec. 29 it will host three informal public hearings on a proposed rule that would align the hazard communication standard with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals.

The first meeting is scheduled for March 2 at OSHA headquarters in Washington; the other two are scheduled to take place March 31 in Pittsburgh and April 13 in Los Angeles.

Anyone interested in appearing or presenting testimony or documentary evidence can submit notification in advance through the Federal eRulemaking Portal or by fax or mail.
