MACOSH accepting member nominations, announces meetings

OSHA is rechartering its Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health and is accepting committee member nominations.

The current MACOSH charter expires Sept. 23; OSHA intends to recharter it for another two years. The agency said it is looking for members from backgrounds representing workers, employers, state or federal safety and health organizations, professional organizations, national standards-setting groups, or academia. Member nominations must be postmarked by May 7.

In related news, meetings for MACOSH's Shipyard and Longshore workgroups, as well as the full 15-member committee, have been scheduled for April 27 and 29, respectively, in Newport, RI.
