'I2P2' stakeholder meetings scheduled for June

OSHA recently announced plans to host stakeholder meetings in June to help develop a proposed rule for Injury and Illness Prevention Programs -- referred to as "I2P2."

The purpose of the meetings is to gather information to develop and implement a plan for employers that proactively identifies and corrects workplace hazards, the agency said.

The meetings are scheduled for June 3 in East Brunswick, NJ; June 10 in Dallas; and June 29 in Washington. Submission deadlines for confirmed registration are May 20, May 27 and June 10, respectively; registration will remain open until the meetings are full.

OSHA also announced informal stakeholder meetings on its plans to modernize the agency's injury and illness data collection system. The meetings are scheduled for May 25 in Washington and June 3 in Chicago.
