NIOSH to host meetings on NORA sectors, TIL requirement

NIOSH recently announced two public meetings. At the agency's National Occupational Research Agenda meeting, scheduled for June 16 in Washington, NIOSH leadership will discuss the progress, priorities and implementation plans of about half of the sector councils. NIOSH also will provide an update on cross-sector activities, including Healthy People 2020 and the WorkLife Initiative.

On July 29, NIOSH will meet in Hyattsville, MD, to discuss a proposed rule for total inward leakage requirements for respirators (.pdf file). Participants can make presentations, share results of new research on filtering facepiece or other half-mask respirator inward leakage measurement, and provide additional comments on the anticipated economic impact of the proposed rule.
