NIOSH's radiation advisory board to meet next month

NIOSH will host a meeting of its Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health Aug. 10-12 in Idaho Falls, ID, to provide updates on various programs and discuss special exposure cohort petitions.

Granting special exposure cohort status expedites compensation and medical care for workers at Department of Energy or atomic weapons employer facilities who developed cancer by making it easier to establish the cancer was job-related.

In addition to the meetings, public comment times will be available Aug. 10-11.
