Washington – The Federal Highway Administration and numerous transportation agencies will attempt to raise awareness about worker safety and mobility issues in work zones during National Work Zone Awareness Week (April 4-8).

This year’s theme is “Safer driving. Safer work zones. For everyone.” The kickoff event is scheduled to take place April 4 at 10:30 a.m. in Beltsville, MD.

The College Station, TX-based National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse also announced it is providing free work zone safety resources for state transportation departments.
