3M

St. Paul, MN
Established 1902

For 40 years, 3M Occupational Health & Environmental Safety has been a trusted industry leader in providing personal protective equipment and related health and safety products.

3M offers a comprehensive portfolio of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) solutions including respiratory protection, hearing protection, active communications equipment, fall protection, high visibility and protective clothing, protective eyewear, head and face protection, welding helmets, and other products and solutions such as tactical safety equipment, detection and monitoring equipment and heat stress monitors.

Since developing the first disposable filtering facepiece respirator to receive NIOSH approval in 1972, 3M has created numerous proprietary technologies that have been incorporated throughout our PPE products. Today, our extensive family of respirators includes disposable filtering facepiece, reusable and powered & supplied air respirators offering a full range of comfort, convenience and value.

3M has a large selection of both passive hearing protection and active communication products which offers technology for enhanced communications for a wide range of applications. We continue to lead the way in hearing conservation with our 3M™ E-A-R™ Clinics, educational and motivational employee training programs, noise measurement systems, and the ability to fit test certain 3M™ hearing protectors with our 3M™ E-A-RFit™ Validation System.

For three decades, 3M has worked closely with welders and safety professionals to constantly improve the performance and comfort of our welding safety products. The 3M ™ Speedglas™ brand product line with its Auto Darkening Filters (ADF), available respiratory protection options and unique graphic options provide state-of-the-art eye and face protection for welders around the globe.

3M’s new line of quality disposable apparel helps protect workers against light liquid splashes and sprays, and harmful dusts present in the industrial workplace. The line of 3M™ Protective Coveralls features options with enhanced safety construction and material technologies that allow breathability and lightweight comfort.

3M also has a full line of innovative head, eye and face protective solutions for worker safety and comfort. The newest addition is the 3M™ H-700 Series Hard Hat with Uvicator Sensor. Its unique UV sensor will indicate when it's time to replace a hard hat due to extended UV exposure. The sensor changes from red to white as it's exposed to UV light, alerting the wearer that it's time for a replacement.

3M also offers a full line of prescription and non-prescription protective eyewear. The prescription (SRx) program offers an on-site custom-fitted prescription eyewear program as well as making its products available from a network of over 2,500 partner Eye Care Professionals (ECP’s) who provide off-site selection and fitting.
