MACOSH to meet next month

Washington – The Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health and its workgroups will meet July 24 and 25 in Seattle to discuss injury and illness prevention programs, as well as confined space and ventilation issues.

Other topics of discussion on the tentative agenda (.pdf file) include safe entry and cleaning of vessel sewage tanks, hot work on hollow structures, persons in the water, and log handling operations.

The full committee will meet July 25; the committee’s workgroups – including Longshoring and Shipyard – will meet July 24.
