Oregon OSHA seeking entries for teen PSA contest

Salem, OR – Oregon high school students are invited to submit videos for the 2013 “Speak up. Work safe.” public service announcement contest.

The contest, sponsored by Oregon OSHA and other groups, aims to raise safety awareness among young people. PSAs should be 90 seconds or less, and will be judged on the following points:

  • Teen worker safety and health message related to “Speak up. Work safe.” and “Work shouldn’t cost you your future.”
  • Creativity and originality
  • Video and audio quality
  • Youth appeal

The deadline for submissions is Feb. 4. Top entries will be announced in the spring and posted to YouTube. Winners will receive prizes ranging from $300 to $500, as well as a matching amount for their school.
