OSHA extends comment period on proposed recordkeeping changes

Washington – OSHA has extended to March 8 the comment period for its proposed rule on recordkeeping, the agency announced Jan. 6.

The Washington-based National Association of Home Builders requested the 30-day extension.

The proposed rule would require employers to submit injury and illness information to OSHA electronically. The agency then would make the information available to the public.
