NIOSH requesting comments on strategic plan for motor vehicle safety

Morgantown, WV – NIOSH is seeking comment on the draft strategic plan for its Center for Motor Vehicle Safety.

The plan covers the period of 2014-2018 and aims to guide epidemiologic, engineering and technology-related research on risk factors for work-related motor vehicle crashes, as well as collaborative efforts to develop solutions.

Comments are being sought on the following areas:

• Relevance of the current draft
• Adequacy of the plan in addressing research needs for work-related motor vehicle crashes and fatal/nonfatal injuries
• Proposed performance measures
• Additional potential partners the center could engage with to enhance the relevance and capacity of its program

Comments are due March 8.
