CPSC launches pool safety education campaign

The Consumer Product Safety Commission, noting more than 210 news reports of child drowning and nonfatal submersions in pools and spas since Memorial Day alone, has launched a pool safety education campaign.

CPSC teamed up with Safe Kids USA and the National Drowning Prevention Alliance to create the Pool Safely campaign, which features an educational video focused on safe behaviors in and around pools and spas. It also includes an interactive online game that allows players to highlight unsafe behaviors and conditions in a variety of pool settings.
