Cleveland-based Fire Equipment Manufacturers' Association developed the two-minute video to teach users the steps required to effectively extinguish a fire using the device. The video also includes a brief outline of the types of fires that can be controlled with an extinguisher and a checklist of other immediate actions to take in the event of a fire.

The intended audience is end-users of fire extinguishers; safety managers may want to send the link to employees or embed the YouTube video on a company intranet.
