Latino safety summit: Call for abstracts

The National Action Summit for Latino Worker Health and Safety is requesting abstracts for posters and exhibit tables through March 5.

The presentations must meet certain criteria, including a focus on improving the safety and health of Latino workers. Sponsored by OSHA and NIOSH, the summit is scheduled for April 14-15 in Houston.

It was announced last September by Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis as a "first-of-its-kind national dialogue and action summit" to improve the education of Latino workers about job hazards in construction and other high-risk industries.
