NIOSH mine committee schedules meeting

Mine escape and rescue, proximity detection, and deep cover retreat mining research are among the topics scheduled for discussion at an upcoming Mine Safety and Health Research Advisory Committee meeting.

The public meeting is set to take place March 30-31 in Canonsburg, PA. The advisory committee is charged with providing advice on mine safety and health research priorities to NIOSH, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
