Survey finds driver safety a top concern for fleet managers

Sparks, MD – Driver safety is one of the top priorities for fleet managers in the next 12-18 months, according to a new study from fleet management services provider PHH Arval.

The company surveyed more than 100 motor fleet managers from more than 25 industries in fall 2011. Two-thirds of participants indicated that driver safety was their top priority, and 86 percent of participants said they include fleet safety and accident prevention in their company’s safety programming.

New or stricter government regulations involving driving could potentially increase managers’ safety focus even further in the next 12-18 months, a PHH Arval press release stated.
