Testing laboratories receive expanded OSHA recognition

Two organizations have received expanded recognition from OSHA as Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories.

In announcements published in the Oct. 25 Federal Register, OSHA said it was expanding the NRTL scope of both Norwood, MA-based FM Approvals LLC and the Canadian Standards Association, a division of Toronto-based CSA Group.

The two organizations already were recognized by OSHA as NRTLs, but Monday's announcement expands the recognition's scope to include testing and certification of additional products.

Organizations recognized as an NRTL test and certify products. Employers who use these approved products meet OSHA standards requiring product testing and certification.
