Poll shows Americans support tougher penalties for texting while driving

Multitasking is a myth – and the public seems to agree. Fully, 73 percent of respondents to a recent National Safety Council public opinion poll said they support tougher enforcement of laws that ban texting while driving, while only 22 percent said current levels of enforcement are sufficient.
