A petition has been created asking the Federal Aviation Administration to require children younger than 2 to be properly restrained in an FAA-approved child restraint system – not seated on a parent’s lap – while on an airplane. The National Safety Council is asking its members to show support for this measure by signing the petition today – in the hope of achieving 100,000 signatures in one month’s time.
