View data on disasters with new tool from FEMA

Washington – A new tool from FEMA offers information about hurricanes and other disasters.

The tool allows users to view disaster declarations across the United States and learn more about how to prepare for disasters and how to volunteer for community emergency efforts. Additionally, users can access data about federal grant support that FEMA provides.

The agency stated in a press release that the resource expands on FEMA’s “commitment to transparency.” Historical data is available through the OpenFEMA initiative, and the new tool allows the information to be viewed in an interactive map.
