The National Safety Council honored some of the highest achievers in safety this week during the National Awards Celebration Reception. Dozens of individuals and organizations were recognized on Tuesday for distinguished service, safe driving, workplace safety and other achievements.
The Distinguished Service to Safety Award is the top NSC honor for individual safety professionals. Six individuals were given this award during the ceremony.
The NSC Rising Stars, Class of 2015 also were officially recognized during the ceremony. The Rising Stars are up-and-coming safety professionals younger than 40 who are committed to spreading the message of safety to their workplaces.
Also recognized during the ceremony were occupational award winners, as well as Safe Driver of the Year Award and Kaplan Award winners.
