Communication tower association releases safety video on night climbing

Watertown, SD – Precautions and protocols for communication tower workers who climb at night are the focus of the most recent safety video produced by the National Association of Tower Erectors.

The video, part of the organization’s “Climber Connection” campaign, stresses preparedness measures such as job hazards analyses and lighting strategies.

“In the communications tower industry, performing work at night is often required by our customers and the safety recommendations offered in this video can help all tower climbers perform night-time work in a safe and efficient manner,” Clayton Armstrong, a tower top hand with Tri State Tower in Marion, IA, said in a press release.
