Opportunity for employers in Florida and Texas: Onsite airbag recall repairs

Approximately 34 million vehicles on the road are equipped with Takata airbags. If the airbag deploys, metal fragments may spray into the vehicle and cause serious injury or death to drivers or their passengers.

The National Safety Council has announced that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is offering employers in select cities in Florida (Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando and Tampa) and Texas (Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio) the opportunity to have employees’ affected airbags repaired onsite for free. Employees who drive Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles can drop them off in the morning through a free valet service, and the airbags are repaired while they work. At the end of the workday, employees pick up their fixed vehicles, at no cost to the organization or employees.
