MSHA launches compliance assistance website

Arlington, VA — Attention all new miners and mine operators: The Mine Safety and Health Administration has launched a website that provides access to a range of compliance assistance materials.

The Compliance Assistance in Safety and Health program is MSHA’s “proactive response to the anticipated surge in U.S. domestic mining productivity, driven by the national demand for critical minerals as outlined in Executive Order 14154, ‘Unleashing American Energy.’ MSHA is dedicated to ensuring that new and expanding mining operations are not only productive but, more importantly, safe and healthy.”

The CASH program offers support materials such as:

- Digital Partners -
  • Direct contacts for compliance assistance
  • A toolkit for new operators and miners
  • Printable resources and compliance guides
  • Access to the MSHA Information Hub
  • One-pagers explaining MSHA program areas
  • Ongoing updates and future materials

“Whether you’re preparing to open a new mine, developing a training program or just need clarification on a standard, CASH can help you find the right answers – and the right people,” MSHA says.

The agency adds that CASH “helps the mining community ‘CASH in’ on safety and health by making compliance simpler, clearer and more accessible from the start.”
