The Chemical Safety Board recently approved the launch of its Most Wanted Chemical Safety Improvements Program, with promulgation of a combustible dust standard as its first “most wanted” item. So what’s next?
Similar to the National Transportation Safety Board’s list, CSB’s “most wanted” will focus on a select number of initiatives to receive greater advocacy from the board.
Two of the board’s three members expressed a keen interest in figuring out what the other items on the most wanted list will be. At the July 25 meeting that launched the program, a stakeholder suggested including promulgation of an injury and illness prevention program standard.
