Potential crushing hazard prompts work boot recall

Bethesda, MD — Boot Royalty Co. has issued a safety recall of its Justin Boots Keaven WP Met Guard Work Boots.

An advisory from the Consumer Product Safety Commission says the men’s work boots (Model SE4570) may be missing a metatarsal guard, posing an impact hazard to the user’s feet. The boots, manufactured in July and August 2022, should be replaced immediately.

The leather, steel-toe and slip-on work boots look like cowboy boots. They’re tan and brown with decorative stitching on the uppers. The labels “Steel Toe” and “Met Guard” are sewn into the seam on the side of the boots.
