The Occupational Excellence Achievement Award recognizes companies, units and/or facilities whose reported rates for injuries and illnesses involving days away from work are equal to or less than 50 percent of the Bureau of Labor Statistics rate for their six-digit NAICS code, and that have experienced zero fatalities from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2012. Qualified applications (.pdf file) received by May 17 will automatically be considered for the 2013 Industry Leader Award.
