Washington – The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee is scheduled to meet (.pdf file) April 8-10 in Alexandria, VA, to discuss several ongoing tasks.
Among them:
- The committee’s progress (.docx file) on issuing recommendations for minimum training requirements for entry-level commercial motor vehicle operators
- The Compliance, Safety, Accountability subcommittee’s preliminary work on evaluating CSA’s effectiveness and issuing recommendations for improvement (.docx file)
- The current status of FMCSA’s Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program and requirements for states to adopt and enforce federal regulations to continue receiving funding
