Workers Memorial Day is Saturday, April 28, and OSHA administrator David Michaels offered a brief message on the day’s importance.
It’s “a day to honor workers” who have been either injured or killed on the job, he said, adding it’s “intolerable” that an average of 12 occupational deaths occur every day in the United States. Michaels encouraged people to “raise their voices” in support of worker rights.
“Making a living shouldn’t include dying,” he said.
