OSHA publishes whistleblower resources in Spanish

Washington – Two of OSHA’s resources on whistleblower protections are now available in Spanish.

The recently redesigned Whistleblower Protection web page provides information on a worker’s right to report injuries and safety issues without retaliation. The web page also shares news and explains how to file a complaint. The agency’s Whistleblower Protection Program protects workers who report workplace safety violations.

The second resource now available in Spanish is a fact sheet on the Seaman’s Protection Act. The act forbids retaliation against seamen participating in protected activity, which includes reporting safety concerns to the U.S. Coast Guard and other agencies. The fact sheet provides information about which workers are covered under the act, what “protected activity” is, and how to file a complaint.
