Cory Worden
Age 36
Manager, System Safety
Memorial Hermann
Houston, TX

“Health care safety has long been identified by OSHA as a very challenging industry to break the existing poor safety culture. Cory has taken on this issue by integrating many elements of patient safety, workplace safety and operations to create a synergy to potentially change the industry. These initiatives range from introducing a new hire safety orientation and employee safety handbook, to working with Texas A&M University to develop the first workplace Healthcare Safety Certificate program in the nation. Cory not only takes his role of workplace safety very seriously, but has already published several books and articles on the subject. He has also been recently selected to present at several national conferences as well as some local universities on the subject.”
