“In his initiative, monthly safety responsibilities were assigned and awareness sessions conducted. Each non-management and contractor name was marked on follow-up sheet with target dated. This audit sheet circulated among non-management staff and contractors for effective communication. Awareness sessions were conducted in the local language for contractors and in English for non-management staff in order to overcome the language barrier for contractors. Through this campaign, contractors started realizing their safety role and started highlighting important observations regarding near-misses and unsafe acts.”
