Ryan Bast
Age 35
Safety Advisor
Motor Safety Association
Regina, Canada

“Three years ago Ryan started leading a safety initiative for the Western Equipment Dealers Association, in which he offers quarterly safety webinars on topics that affect them. The webinar results are measured by the amount of webinar views. As of May 14, one of the webinars had been viewed 8,948 times YTD. Ryan also conducted an ergonomic assessment to address back injuries in farm implement dealerships. The removal of concaves was the main factor for back injuries. The result of Ryan’s assessment of the concave removal was aired on television. The injury rate for farm equipment dealers has been steadily decreasing over the last two years and can be attributed to the results of these combined efforts.”
