Randel Wright
38
SSH&E Coordinator
ExxonMobil Upstream Research Co. (URC)
Houston, TX

“Randel is a supporter of the Learn, Understand, Act, and Share model. He directed the development of a video series to communicate how the brain works and to explain associated failure modes. The project stressed the importance of procedural discipline driving safe behaviors, as well as the importance of procedures complementing expertise and competence. What started as focus for his organization soon grew into a broader multi-organizational discussion. The videos have been shared across multiple organizations within his corporation and the messaging also was adapted for use in the office environment. In addition, he shared his knowledge and understanding of the subject cross-functionally through keynote presentations.”
