Bassma Hegazy
39
Senior HSE Assistant
Egyptian Liquefied Natural Gas (ELNG)
El Beheira, Egypt

“Bassma is a self-driven caliber. She strives to initiate campaigns that statistically enhance the quality, health, safety and environment (QHSE) scorecards. She believes that safety is a concept that should be transferred to families and community. She initiated the Children’s Safety Day as an off-the-job safety culture transfer. Employees’ children are invited to spend a day on-site and get the safety flavor. They will act as their parents’ safety advocates. The children get to learn about safety in school, street, playground and kitchen. The campaign had a tremendous impact on employees and their families; it worked on driving the employees to lead by example and their children to act as safety ambassadors.”
