DENIOS is your partner in safety and environmental protection

Denios: Pop-up Barriers

Many workplaces in industries such as oil and gas, construction, and telecommunications have areas that are classified as confined spaces. These spaces were not designed for continuous occupancy but are large enough for workers to enter and perform a certain job when necessary.

DENIOS is the world’s leading manufacturer and supplier of products and services for environmental protection and workplace safety. We support customers from industry, crafts and trades, as well as public-sector bodies, supplying legally compliant products, solutions and custom services for handling hazardous substances. As a manufacturer and supplier of groundbreaking environmental technology, nature and environmental protection aren’t just words, but values we live by at DENIOS. For over 30 years, we’ve been developing products that nature and people can rely on for the safe handling of hazardous materials and for safety in the workplace. We want to protect nature so that it will be preserved for tomorrow. This is our mission. This is our passion. You can count on it.

Do you worry about spills, floods or sprinkler releases damaging your facility? The spill control innovators at DENIOS have the solution for you.

Our Pop-Up Barriers have been sold throughout North America, with more than 1,000 projects installed. They’re self-contained, passively powered and a self-closing solution that can save your facility – and even lives. There’s no power, people or external sensors needed. It is completely automatic!

For spills

For companies that store chemicals, leaks and spills are always a hazard. A Pop-Up Barrier can be installed to separate incompatible materials within a single large facility or to contain potential spills and sprinkler releases at all perimeter access points of a facility.

For floods

Flooding can damage warehouses, equipment and goods. More than 80% of flood losses result from floodwaters less than 15 inches high. An FM-approved Pop-Up Flood Barrier can be installed on exterior doors to protect a facility's lower-level building access points or facility design/use modifications. Fully automatic operation ensures DENIOS Pop-Up Barriers will close even in cases of power loss.

Operation – Flow of liquid triggers the Pop-up Barrier to automatically shut

How pop-up barriers work

When not deployed, Pop-Up Barrier door stores flat in floor, eliminating the need for ramps or berms. It automatically “pops up” with introduction of liquid in the built-in collection sump, creating a liquid-tight seal and containing the spill in the room where it originated.
