“To lead college students to engage with OSH materials, small business owners to control hazards, his onsite consultation team to experiment and excel with virtual worksite visits, administrators from OSHA Region 1 and the New Hampshire area office to try a new communication tool such as Zoom, and to have OSHA instructors try Zoom required Brady to adopt and practice a flexible servant leadership style. As a servant leader, he was very patient and worked to meet everyone where they were, understood what they feared, and gradually built their confidence by modeling supportive coaching and a continuous improvement attitude.”
