“When Ben started with NiSource, he noticed some concerns of inconsistencies with the reporting of motor vehicle accidents across the American Gas Association membership. He requested to attend that committee’s next meeting to discuss his concerns. The committee discussed and agreed that a subcommittee should be created to review the concern and build revised interpretations that included examples to allow for more consistency with the reports. Ben immediately volunteered to lead the team. Ben led a group of his peers and completed the project, reviewed the revised documents with AGA members, shared it with his counterparts at NiSource, and eventually discussed it with the Edison Electric Institute’s safety committee to further allow opportunity for consistency across utilities.”
