“Meagan created a new hire training program (Safety Health and Environmental Academy). In the SHE Academy, new hires spend four full days going through all OSHA applicable standards, the company’s lifesaving rules, and even a full day of LOTO practice on a board to help ensure the understanding of how locks and hasps work to prevent possible life-threating injuries. After four months, the results showed: longer job retention, less injuries among employees who were employed less than six months, higher involvement in safety committees, improvement in ideas and all-around improved morale.”
