“There are two major initiatives that Katherine has led recently. The first is on COVID-19-related policies, procedures and communication. Katherine spearheaded the creation of a COVID-19 response team, scoured sources of information and developed world-class approaches to COVID-19 mitigation across NSC operations. She also made them freely available, resulting in hundreds of thousands of downloads on aggregate. As mentioned, there have been zero employee-to employee/employee-to-public transmission of COVID within NSC. The second initiative is a much-expanded near-miss and incident reporting effort, leading to nearly hundredfold increases in proactive reports in the council’s system of record.”
