“One of Heather’s leadership strengths is her ability to bring together diverse teams to work through safety problems. Recent examples include a complex installation of a helium-3 refrigeration system for low-temperature physics from a foreign vendor. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, company personnel were not able to travel to the United States to perform the installation. It was, therefore, decided to perform the installation, which included precision material movement and lifting, with local resources and vendor telepresence. Heather was able to coordinate the necessary safety review, which included multiple organizations, and the installation was a great success.”
