“When we identified a need for de-escalation training during a period of increased violence and aggressive behaviors toward utility workers, Ruben met with different vendors and other available resources to find a solution. The focus of the training was to educate employees on how to effectively handle conflict and difficult customers. The group developed eight scenarios to be shown in the form of training videos that were rolled out using a learning management system to measure and track the effectiveness of the training. Ruben worked with field operations management in identifying the scenarios that provided the most value in addressing aggressive behaviors.”
