Washington — The National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health has scheduled a public meeting for May 31.

According to a notice published in the April 27 Federal Register, the hybrid meeting is set for 9 a.m. Eastern. It will feature new member introductions, updates from OSHA and NIOSH, a discussion on OSHA’s Whistleblower Protection Program, and a report from NACOSH’s work group on heat injury and illness prevention.

Anyone wishing to attend must register on the NACOSH website.

“Once registered, online attendees will receive a link for remote meeting access and in-person attendees will receive directions for participation,” an OSHA press release states.

The deadline to submit comments and requests to speak is May 15.

The 12-member committee advises, consults with, and makes recommendations to the secretaries of labor and health and human services on matters relating to workplace safety and health.
